Another one at the Ace Hardware. Nice truck, the owner walked out ahead of me, we had a nice talk about it. He did the resto 20+ years ago, it was the only full vehicle paint job he's ever done and it's still really nice. A no rust Arizona truck and it's straighter than the reflection looks. He has 8 trucks of this era including a Blazer that's nicer and is going to Utah next month to pick up another one.
My Dad is 88 years old and in poor health. He had an early sixties Chevy pickup truck back in the day and he was excited when I bought my '63 two years ago. Pops doesn't drive anymore and is hooked up to an oxygen tank 24/7 but he really wanted to see my truck.
It's over 300 miles round trip from our home in Vermont to Dad's house in upstate NY and I'd never driven my old truck anywhere near that far before. Yesterday we made the trip and I was able to take Dad for a drive when we went out for lunch. He was thrilled and enjoyed every minute.
