Iam not into this light oil either living in Florida where its lke 200 degrees. My 2006 Hemi calls for it and I have been reluctant to use it so far. Now that I recently purchased the Chysler Lifetime Warranty on my truck, I feel Iam being forced to use it to keep the warranty in effect, but I dont like it. Ill probably go with a synthetic 5w20 and pray I dont get the Hemi tick, currently at 11,330 miles it sounds as smooth as glass, its always had 10w30( 1st change 230 miles), in the summer months and 5w30 in the winter(well as close to winter as we get 60 degrees) Castrol GTX. Iam still not sure what route Iam going to take. We use 5w20 in the company trucks I service and it looks like ice tea going in and is even thinner, like black WD40 coming out, I cant see how a oil that thin can protect much. Iam sure it keeps parts clean, but how good can it be a buffer when it get hot and thins that much.
