35% front, 20% rear, or 35% tint all around

I have 20% all around on both cars. I think the GTI appears darker in person even though it's the same film from the same shop just because the roof liner is black. It looks dark but easy enough to deal with at night. I've had 35% before and it's not dark at all. The biggest thing is to go ceramic for cutting out heat.

The looks / how dark it appears from the outside will be affected by your interior as well. I usually do 20% on my vehicles to match the rear factory tint, but on my Mazda 6 with no factory tint I went with 30% because my interior is black. Nobody believes me that it’s 30% since it looks as dark as 20%, but that’s just because everything inside my car is black.

I think 35% is too light and wouldn’t waste my time.

I requested the dealer do the front sides to match the rear. It does. Having very few issues, but many benefits. The dealer did those plus the really dark eyebrow tint.

Not me in pics. My salesperson was finishing the stuff the PDI guys missed

So far I really like the 30%. The ceramic heat rejection is just amazing. Need to do the sunroof with low tint ceramic heat rejection.

The burb has factory tint in the rears, nothing in front sides. Though it has an AC that can freeze a side of beef, I am considering ceramic on the fronts, maybe 70vlt.(wife's daily driver and she is not a big fan of tint) the heat rejection is just amazing.
