Let me ask you a question.

Why do you want a bypass filter?

What are you hoping t accomplish from installing a bypass filter?

The car only has a 2.4 qt oil capacity. I don't know how that would change things....

whats the reserve oil pump pressure/capacity?

too many unknowns on a hybrid ..could cause engine damage.

you could do 10000mile changes for over 100000 miles for the price difference.

The oil still may not make it to 20000 miles.

you are basically diverting oil from lubricating the engine to filter it. Also with a 2.4qt sump you would be adding at least 1qt with the bypass.

so 2.4qt /10000miles or 3.4@20000 and causing possible engine damage.

There were a number of people who blew up subaru engines with bypass systems that malfunctioned.

Oh.
Yeah I guess for the cost of a bypass system + labor, I could buy Mobil 1's extended drain oil and then just monitor it with used oil analysis to make sure 20,000 miles is safe.

a filter that can filter down to 2-3 mu. is a Fram C-3; C-3P *C3 has no handle. i think the F3-P is the whole Fram filter housing, not made any more. the c-3 is the element only. i think they are on the old Ford N-8 tractors, i think
