Had a 2022 Amg Cla 45 on order but had 0 confidence it would be delivered in 3 months.
Had the idea to get back into a VW (coming from a stinger gt).
Found a press release yellow, autobahn package with 0 markup about 3 hours away.
Ceramic coated it as soon as I got home

Very nice. Does that simply mean road' gears'? What did you think of the Stinger? I'm considering picking one up.

The prerequisite for owning a Stinger is you have to pronounce it
Sting-ger.

Do you know how old it is. I've heard it's bad to seal or ceramic coat paint that's less than 3 months old as some small amount of solvents can get trapped especially if its been cloudy and colder as it takes a bit longer. But i also thought modern cars were more water based so that's less of an issue. Also is it the manual or their DSG. Can't see a knob.

My VW dealer did mine as a presale deal but I'm sure it sat in transit for months. No I did not pay for it. They wanted $900. Lol

Nice! Congrats!

Instrument cluster graphics look a little too flashy for me. Are there different designs/skins to choose from?
There are a few different options and some that look a lot more analog, I have it on the "sportiest" option. You can set the 2 sides to things like navigation, mpg, radio, or just off. You can also change the color so the double mint yellow was my choice lol.

The stinger is a bargain for the money, fast and semi comfortable. Ultimately kia is still behind in QC. I wouldnt stray away from the stinger but definitely take it for a long test drive and see how you like the feel.

Its a Dsg, I wanted the manual but theres a lot of tech in terms of front differential with the dsg.
Im assuming it is atleast a few months old. It was at the dealer for a month + time from paint to build + ship transport from Germany.
Ive had VWs before and this paint was actually immaculate

True but a lot of new cars are already ordered and sold even before assembled. I went to the dealer and ordered my escalade in may 2020 and got it in October.

Mine was a showroom fixture for months as it was a few $$$ above that areas normal selling price.
I really don't like dealer added nonsense either. So I get it.

That should be good for your 8-12" snow coming tonight :p
or is it closer to 12-18" that erie is predictec??

I looked at those as I wanted 200hp+ hatchback or hatchback cuv style and a manual transmission.
Would be great as a second car but I cant find one that does everything I want. .. under $45000 anyway.

What was the price difference between your GTI and ordering a Golf R? (IIRC when I packaged it out.. around 7k?)

The fully loaded Gti vs an R is about 6k ish. Dealers are alloted 1 R and after they sell that they get another 1.
The R would of been awesome but the Gti checks all the boxes

That sounds about right I was mainly wanting AWD as a wish not a strict requirement.
