2021 NHRA Pro Winter Warm Up from PBIR

I love Nitro Top fuel cars and Hydros [ the Hydros are the best ]. The speed, the joyful noise, wondering how much skill it takes to drive them, watching the masters of the craft do the rebuilds and tuning , what a treat.

Dumb question, on a Fuel car, either Top Fuel or Funny, is there a driveshaft? I would think it would make sense to have some sort of a torque tube around it if there is as opposed to driveshaft loops.

In TF it's a very short solid splined shaft. Then there's a coupler that slides on the splined driveshaft, and fits into the splines you can see on the pinion flange. The coupler is held in place with lock rings.

That makes perfect sense. I could see even the strongest of u-joints not being happy with 11,000+hp
