I plan to have both the transfer case and rear diff oils changed at the dealership, but I prefer to bring my own oil instead of what they use (should be both cheaper, and I'll know what will go in it).

The car does not have an LSD in the rear. It's an AWD with (I believe) a brake based system in case of tire slippage. Here's the relevant except from the manual:

1. I'm thinking of using Delvac 1 Gear Oil 75W-90 for both. Is this a good idea, or should I use something with LSD additives for the rear diff (or for the transfer case as well)?
2. Is it enough that I buy 2 x 1qt bottles and give them to the mechanic, since the maximum required is 1.39qt (I have the 3.3L engine). Or will there be wastage from the bottle and should I get one more bottle?

Get 4 jack stands and a jack and do it yourself. I run Amsoil Severe Gear 75W90 in my wife’s xfer case in her Pilot. Having more is better than not having enough.
