This is the latest random "can you help me out" I've gotten from a co-worker. He has a 2013 Fusion 1.6T that's giving him the infamous P0420 catalytic convertor inefficiency code. No driveability issues whatsoever. Like most co-workers that have hit me up for car fixes, they don't want to drive the 30 miles to my house so I can properly diagnose it. So I've offered him the gamble of replacing O2 sensors and he bit. I'm 100% so far on my intuition (aka parts cannon on other people's dime) hoping this is the same.
Rear seems pretty simple from underneath like most, but I've yet to discover a how-to / Youtube / etc. for the upstream sensor on this vehicle. From what I gather the exhaust is on the firewall side. Anyone replace an upstream on one of these and know if I'm getting myself into a snake pit?
