1998 Accord

Does anyone recommend using a fuel system cleaner regularly?
I have an Accord with 106,000 miles 4 cyl. I have never used a cleaner on most of my cars.

What is the consensus?

Sure, how about a bottle of Techron if you can find some on sale or BOGO. Have you done the timing belt?

Nothing has ever been used in the Neon, and it seems to run as good as new. I don't buy no-name gas, but I do use Ultramar up here, which has a bad rep with my small engines guy atleast.

Timing belt was recently done.
Regular gas, no E10

I like to track my vehicle mileage to recognize if a fuel consumption issue arises. It doesn't take much (notepad, odometer reading, gallons added, and notation if its not a fillup; optional date and if cleaner is added), though its a routine you and family members need to follow. It would be great if engine computers could output the MPG history/trend.

don't worry man. My buddy have 2001 honda accord 4-cyl with 300,000 miles. he never used any addictives and fuel cleaner.. but his car is oil burner. He add about 1 qt everk 3-4 weeks.

Your car is low mileage for that year. it will serve you many more miles..
