W¤ if I had $1800 I would OWN that Olds. Looks like a 5.0L 307. "Delta 88".. Who knows maybe it IS based off a 1982.

Anyone want the Taurus? It runs better, everyday. For sale...

No use talking sense to this guy.

@GHT: why are you showing us pics of cars that you cannot afford? 94-96 Impala and a GN is way out of your BK budget.

Disregard babyivan.

And yeah, if anyone was interested in Taurus, I'd sell it! It IS listed for sale, here and on CL. But no low-balls...

And IF I come into some money, I would select from the lot that I pictures. I think the Impala SS, the other one with the red bowtie, and either GN (surely you saw that there are two) probably DO cost more. Unless the GN is dirt cheap like $1500 for some reason......

That said, I am holding on to about $15 at this time, so, need to see how money goes.

Now, refocus. Good morning!

I ordered the FT130 trans filter myself, and I bet I could change it and scrape the pan (with a soft squeege, yes?) if I got under there wiht whatever deep socket fit the pan bolts. Problem is, all that stuff is in the S10 and I have not heard back from the guy.. Maybe he relapsed!

^^^ Not only that, but, I need to get my cat euthanized today, so. I wish I had the tools (that are in the S10) to go do SOMETHING to the Taurus, which si for sale! (Just to touch on some scattered about points.)

R.I.P. Seluna

Today, I *may* go to Target, get 6 quarts of the non-synthetic Mobil, and change that ATF out via siphon method.

Advised?

Well I guess we should all hope he does buy that Buick GN.

It's hot out here today. There are feral cats pressed up against my sliding glass door trying to stay cool.

Yeah, you looking at a Buick GN, or an Impala SS is actually about the same as me looking at either this:

Porsche-Cayman.jpg

Or at this:

Alfa_Romeo_4C_Fluid_Metal_(front_quarter).jpg

And thinking to myself "If I only had a few dollars more, it could be mine."

The only difference between your wishes and my wishes is that I can actually make mine come true. Next year, actually.

Oh, and also on my shopping list is this:

That one is on my 10 year plan, but maybe 6, if I'm a good boy.

So, you keep on dreaming.
Maybe you'll figure out a way to get your act together.

Well at least you can "have it your way"
Personally I'm happy as a bug in a rug with my mustangs.
Those spaceship cars certainly look nice however to me everything looks sterilized, with no like or character.
I would have to wash the grease off my hands to touch the steering wheel, and I'd stain that poor leather wrapped gearshift into a charcoal hue.
I like my dusty, uninsulated from the road noise, tire roasting, non traction controlled fox body,go cart feeling mustangs.

I would like to know how much ATF "drains down" when the car is off for an hour or two. Trying to get it to smooth out.

Just took it on the Philadelphia-Atlantic City Expressway. Seems ok..

Clevy, I think you missed the point Bladecutter was trying to make. See, you have cars that you like and can afford. BC has different tastes and a different budget so he can look to different cars, but it's still the same thing.

Techno-Log is doing something different in looking at cars he likes but can't afford. There's the difference.

Now, I choose to drive a car that TL could afford even though I can afford more because there are cars I like that happen to be that cheap. That's the trick. Find something you like within the range of what you can afford that meets your needs. You do that, I do that, and so does BC. It works.

Ideally, none. Realistically, it increases with wear or crud buildup until it maxes out at about half the capacity of the TC, so a few quarts if the trans is in rough shape. This means it could take several seconds at idle to pump up.
