I'd say that's a 1971 N600 twin air cooled chain drive.

The hang tag says 1972 Honda 600 Coupe. The Civic debuted as a 1973 hatchback and my brother's college roommate bought the first one delivered to the local dealership. First Japanese vehicle I ever rode in and it had a 4 speed manual transmission along with radial tires.
I learned to drive with the next model, the first generation Civic (a 1978), 4 speed manual. Driving down the freeway in top gear at 60 mph you would swear the engine was about to explode.

It was reliable for its time, but didn't last too long. At about 90k it suffered some kind of major engine failure.

Yep, that's a 600.
We had a '76 Civic 1500 and found it to be really fun to drive, reliable and durable.
It was pretty prone to rust, though.
I'd not mind a nice old Civic as a good weather fun car although even a Mirage would annihilate one in a collision.

A lady that owned a successful Honda motorcycle dealership in my city had a Honda as pictured. I always thought it was a neat little car and very fitting for a Honda motorcycle dealer.
A neighbor had a 600, when I was a kid. I remember thinking it was too small for me even then.
I think they used a de-tuned Honda 450 motorcycle engine.
That thing has nearly the same weight, length and horsepower as my 20+ years newer Mazda. Now imagine driving that Honda with an automatic transmission and air conditioning.
Thankfully Civic is no longer a punishment to own and look at.
Idk, I really like how the 70s civics look. The late 90s early 00s are the ugly ones
I am talking about 2020’s+ , they are decent cars .
