I agree that mis-representations are damaging, and non-productive. Unfortunately, valid experiences, if they're negative, are too often considered "bashing". There's often very little consideration given to a comment, to understand whether it's a real or made-up experience.
Jiffy Lube does use Fram filters in a pinch. I used to deliver parts for Advance Auto, and we have delivered Fram filters to them before. Sometimes they'd be out of their normal filter, and we'd be out of the pro line filter, and I'd drive a few Frams over there.
Just because we know they don't normally use Fram filters, and just because their inventory system should re-procure a part when necessary, doesn't mean that an odd-ball situation could not have happened in the past.
I've never had any of my vehicles serviced at Jiffy Lube, but our government vehicles go there all the time. Everytime I watch, the service is completed correctly. My wife's childhood friend brought her Focus to Jiffy Lube and they bought her a new engine after hers drained the oil out due to two gaskets on the filter.
Not every experience at a particular retailer will be good, and not every one will be bad. Just as we have to be careful to keep slanderous dialog to a minimum, we must also encourage all to post experiences that they have had or that their friends and neighbors have had, good or bad.
