Thinking about trading my car. What do you think?

Sounds to me the space the Rouge affords fits your lifestyle with the dogs and bikes. Maybe get an extended warranty if you're really worried.

Worst car to change cabin filter on?

You've just got to get the right Mazda. The cabin filter in my 1st gen 6 is simple: drop the glove box and the access panel is staring you in the face. No screws even. Trickiest part of the job is re-hooking the little string that limits the downward travel when you open the glove box.

    Remanufactured Alternators

I've been through the rebuilt warranty merry-go-round. Can't remember if it was AZ or AAP. Went through three and the longest of them lasted three months. They never gave me grief about warrantying them, and thankfully the alternator placement made for an easy swap, but I had enough and coughed...

    Wife's 2014 Mazda 6 - official thread/pics

Beautiful rides, both of them. Congrats. I really like the new 6 inside and out. The wife and I stopped at the dealership to look at one- not really with the intent on buying one, but we both kinda agreed if the stars aligned we might consider it. The 184hp standard and only engine choice...

    Fuel oil for heating toxicity

I don't know about how toxic it is or it's potential to harm health, but FWIW #2 fuel oil is essentially the same thing as diesel.

Looking for a car. Maybe one of these?

Contours can be had all day for dirt cheap. They're all 13-18 yrs old now so pickings are getting real slim for decent ones. Most were treated as just basic transportation(get in, drive, neglect) so I'd be patient and find a 1 or 2 owner car that took care of it- less of a chance of being a...

    Calling German car pros

Pretty sure worn strut mounts can cause that. I've got a suspension I went through and replaced everything but the mounts about 30k miles ago and now have a similar rattling sound over bumps. Now I'm kicking myself for being cheap and not replacing them.

Nexen Tires... they better than Kumho?

As mentioned upthread, what comes OEM by the vehicle manufacturer doesn't mean all of that tire make is of the same quality. I've run Kumhos and have been pleased with them. Often times OEM's are chosen and spec'ed to a price point. Other offerings usually are better, regardless of brand.

Looking for good quality aftermarket floor mats

Looking for a place that sells nice aftermarket cloth mats. Not the generic type you find at AAP or AZ, but ones that imitate OEM mats for specific fit for make/model. The quote I got from the dealer for OEM is more than I'm looking to spend. I've heard WeatherTech makes some nice mats, but as...

    Counterfeit air bag bust

I suppose the only buy OEM guys have another round of ammo. If I had to wager a bet this douche was guilty of posting 100's of duplicate listings on ebay.

I swear I have the worst luck...

My Mazda has those. I believe the only use they had was keeping the disk from flopping around during assembly.

Exxon Mobil reported a quarterly profit of nearly

"They didn't build that". Remember that. XOM didn't build those refineries. They didn't explore those fields or build those wells. The push for massive confiscation of wealth emanates from that dog-whistle.

    Boeing sales

Boring plane, but it's a workhorse that gets the job done. No wonder it's had such a long history of good sales. I'll take it any day over a CRJ or ERJ for a short trip.
