    Microgreen filters

I just phoned them. The person in support said 2 microns. That is larger than a number I got from them before. That leaves plenty of room for my WS2.

I tried that. Two different answers.

    Microgreen filters

Has anyone determined what the real minimum particle size is for the MicroGreen filter. I have seen a couple of numbers thrown about. One was under 100 nm. What I am concerned about is my additive being filtered out. I use IF Tungsten Disulphide in my oil. The form used is that of "Buckyballs"...

Got my Micro Green oil filter in from the 50% sale

You know, this thread reminds me a whole lot of the long threads about WS2 as a lubricant. That was a lot of people denying nano material technology exists. Rather like denying the existence of Iron (as I am sure a stone age technologist would have agreed). If they were actually to examine the...

Got my Micro Green oil filter in from the 50% sale

To my eye, and holding one in my hand, it looks well built.

Got my Micro Green oil filter in from the 50% sale

Has anyone cut one of these open? Could provide a useful perspective.

Got my Micro Green oil filter in from the 50% sale

I just got my filters. A point of interest: manufacturing date is 2/11/15. That is pretty old stock. Perhaps they are not having a good sales experience. It (possibly)indicates a rather large inventory. That is generally a bad sign.

Got my Micro Green oil filter in from the 50% sale

Actually they did give me essentially what is in your second insert. In my post I just said it was unnecessary because I was asking about the possibility of the filter removing WS2 Buckyballs. And I had already read that info on their site. It probably won't grab them, but it is getting close.

Got my Micro Green oil filter in from the 50% sale

Yesterday I asked MG about the sale and a question about the filter (an unnecessary one) They responded in a few hours and gave me the information I asked for. I also went and looked at their web site to see for myself issues that were causing so much turmoil and debate here. Some may want to...

Maybe WS2 successor - really slippery

I just read this. It looks interesting. Probably a good ways from a production material. Enjoy and lust: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2015/12/151208150950.htm

    Food safe grease additives

Thanks, but per manufacturers requirements, there are points on which I must use a Moly fortified grease. Oil won't do it.

    firearms lubrication article

I keep seeing recommendations to include ATF. I have always viewed ATF as a toxic and very aggressive substance. Are there no problems associated with using it on guns?

    Who's responsible??

The package carriers pay no attention to labels like fragile, this side up, etc.

    Pellet Rifle Lube

I would suggest adding some Tungsten Disulphide to a lubricant of your choice. After a while it will form a lubricating layer that could be replenished every so often, but does not need constant replenishment. It bonds to the metal or plastic. Better than Moly.

Help with choosing a 9mm semi automatic

First of all; if you have not held it in your hand, don't buy it. Go to a store, a range, or somewhere, and hold everything you are interested in (and maybe some you don't think you are interested in). The one you want is the one that makes a low crooning noise when it is in your hand. Well...

    IF WS2 = ultimate lubricant

It might do something depending on the initial engine condition. It does form a layer on the metal, but I would not expect this layer to get very thick. I don't remember seeing that information. It does fill in the cracks and crevices found in the "smooth" surface of the finished metal. But that...

    IF WS2 = ultimate lubricant

A question from one of the earlier links ( http://www.mdpi.com/2075-4442/1/4/95/pdf) that explained why this WS2 stuff is awful and will destroy the universe as we know it. They noted the Sulfur from the WS2 would cause serious corrosion problems. It seems to me that the Sulfur is fairly tightly...

    Food safe grease additives

Would grease speced for food processing use none or minimal amounts of the additives you find in more ordinary greases. I am trying to find a grease with no friction improvers that will try to bond to the surfaces.

    IF WS2 = ultimate lubricant

Now that is a nice piece of work. It pretty much demonstrates most of what I have been saying for a long time. Kills my perception that exfoliation of the basic Fullerene shape is the primary lubricating mechanism; got to change my mental store to ball bearings. Although they did mention chunks...
