QSUD vs. PPP - Cleaning Ability ?

I used QSUD for my 1000 mile break oil change and recently changed it out 5000 miles later. Honestly, I doubt at this point which would clean better. I don't know if I'd go back go QSUD as I have a fairly large collection already of Mobil1 and Magnatec but I'd run it again, no hesitation.

Are you brand loyal for motor oil?

I generally stick with the major brands. I used to go for PUP but they're so expensive and limited when they come down in price. It's been Mobil 1 Extended or Castrol GTX Magnatec for me. Nothing against house brands. Sales price usually helps me pick. I even went with Quaker State because it...

Building new oil stash for both Subarus

Just getting ready for kids. Plus saving money for a second fun car. I also get bored easy so I tend to change cars frequently. The longest I've held a car was the Porsche and that was 6-7 years. I plan on keeping the Subarus until they break down. Minimum 10 years. Plus, we moved into the...

Probably won't be picking up any engine oil anytime soon. Got them all on sale. Wish I had some Pennzoil Ultra but they're rare these days and not worth the extra premium.

I feel like it's the battery that that has most issue these days when temps drop so suddenly.

Always Check Your Oil Level After Dealer Change

Don't know if it's as relevant but I try to avoid dealer anything. They completely overfilled my oil and coolant during last service. I opened up the engine bay and saw the coolant that covered the whole engine bay. Checked the oil and it too was overfilled. I called up the dealer and they told...
