Got a 22 wrx that I put 0w20 PUP but should have put 5w30 instead since I'm changing to 5w30. Would it be OK to leave the oem subaru filter on and drain the 0w20 and refill with 5w30? It's very easy to change filter and is like $10, but curious what people think. I've only got 500 miles on oil...

So, I've decided to switch my 2022 wrx from 0w20 to 5w30 during summer (georgia heat). A few options I'm looking at: Pennzoil ultra platinum Motul 5w30 QS Ultimate protection 5w30 Thoughts? Anything else I should look into? Must meet API SP, ILSAC GF-6, and preferably dexos but not required

Hi there! I used a small amount (0.5 qt) from a 5qt jug of 0w20 PUP because I was lazy and didn't wanna go to the store for a 1 qt. I do 3k mile OCI which is about 3 months for me. Do you think the jug that was opened will be OK to use for the next change? Sorry if this is dumb
