    Fresh Oil = Quiet

Do you think it was new oil that made the difference or switching to Euro? I'm on SS but thought about switching to Euro to try it out.

    2013 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0T - Amsoil 5w30 vs 5w40 vs 0w40

Super helpful. Did they replace your engine under warranty? If you don't hit 3k miles at 3 months, do you still change the oil at 3 months? I'm going to do a UOA at the next oil change. I purchased the Amsoil test kits.

    2013 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0T - Amsoil 5w30 vs 5w40 vs 0w40

Yes, I believe they're (Hyundai Canada though) saying the increased viscosity would protect the engines better--see below. I agree that staying with 5w30 SS is a good bet. I am going to perform my first oil analysis at the next oil change, so I'll be very interested to see the results and if I...

    2013 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0T - Amsoil 5w30 vs 5w40 vs 0w40

When you say AEL, do you mean Amsoil Extended Life? Edit: nevermind…I realize you meant the Euro line.

    2013 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0T - Amsoil 5w30 vs 5w40 vs 0w40

Are you sticking with 5w30 or did you try 5w40 due to dilution?

    2013 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0T - Amsoil 5w30 vs 5w40 vs 0w40

Why does it surprise you? I do know that the 2015's manual says 5w40 is an option, just not in my 2013. They detuned the turbo for less HP in 2015 too I believe. Are the Euro and SS formulas close enough in quality? I noticed they're the same price

    2013 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0T - Amsoil 5w30 vs 5w40 vs 0w40

Owned since new. 115K miles. Car manual says 5w20, 10w30 or 5w30. Oil cap says 5w30. Apparently, a TSB came out several years ago saying 5w40 will provide better protection for these turbo engines, which makes sense. For about a year now, I've been using Amsoil SS 5w30 (used M1 5w30 before...

    2022 Camry 2.5 fuel dilution/viscosity selection question

Does having HVAC on help get the car up to operating temp? Or are you just saying it's an indicator of when the car is at operating temp?

    3k vs 5k Synthetic OCI

Instead of driving 3 miles directly to work every day, I take a 75 mile scenic route just to mitigate fuel dilution.

Amsoil makes my straight pipe last longer

    I took the HPL plunge....

Nice. I have the 2013 2.0T but my manual doesn't say 5w40, only 5w30 and 10w30. I see you have a 2015 which means we have the same engine model. Your manual says 5w40 is ok?

    Interesting claim by Amsoil

I'll just say that every time I've brought up Amsoil SS to any mechanic, they rave about it. This has included two shop foremen at dealerships and independent shops. Getting a sticker doesn't mean much to me as someone who wants top-notch oil.

    Amsoil Signature Series warranty discussion

Use Amsoil SS and follow the manufacturer OCI.

    Amsoil Signature Series warranty discussion

True but the manufacturer made it abundantly clear to me that they rely on the dealers to decide if it’s a lubrication issue. In this case, two dealers stated certs aren’t a dealbreaker and meeting the requirements and OCIs are what matter.
