    Advantages of straight weight oil

    Why waste this space. The owners manual to my el cheapo YardMarchine non-self propelled mower says to use 5W30 synthetic for all temperature ranges. Why would anyone in this century bring up single weight oil. It is not for use in any passenger car made in the last 30 years.

    Wonder if there was a "special purchase" of V rated Primacys or something in your size sayjac. Or more likely, Tirerack made a mistake in your favor since our sizes are so close. For the heck of it, I went onto tire rack and in my size 215/55/17 the difference is even more pronouced than that...

    I suggest you go to Consumer Reports online if you cannot get the hard copy. CR has the best/most comprehensive tire testing procedure .... IMO better than tirerack.com ... especially on treadwear rating. CR's ratings also tend to give consistent results with the tirerack USER reviews .... vs...
