    Oil consumption getting worse!!

I guess I was looking at it from the standpoint of carboned rings not worn. Currently using 5w30. guess I could bump to 10w30.

    Oil consumption getting worse!!

Thanks I guess. Was really looking for ideas on actually trying to clean the rings since it is well known for Toyota's to have this problem. I'm well aware of my mileage but that doesn't mean it can't be fixed. Not looking for a solution in a can. Looking for something to soak pistons with. I...

    Oil consumption getting worse!!

2005 Toyota Highlander 4cyl. front wheel drive. 190k miles. Regular 3k mile oil changes since new. MMO treatments and Seafoam treatments here and there. Recently my oil consumption has gotten worse to the point of 1qt every 1500miles. PCV in good shape but just bought factory one with hose for...

quality of Godsnow oil drain plugs???

Personally I would NOT use an aluminum plug. Wrench on it too hard and you have a great chance of stripping it. They come in colors? For an oil plug you never see? I'm old school and that is gimmicky in my opinion. Plus it's aluminum so it will make your ride 'lighter" by .2 ounces... lol...

Help me chose an oil 1990 F150

i am by no means an expert. i am actually asking the same question on here about my car. the only response i've gotten so far is valvoline maxlife high mileage and pennzoil high mileage. the high mileage oils have an additive package that can help condition the seals and stop some small leaks.

    Help me choose an oil!!!

Sorry to leave that out. I just replaced the PCV for the 3rd time. I keep up with all maintenance regularly including throttle body cleanings (with Seafoam, love the stuff) and the like. I also have a K&N filter in it that was cleaned and retreated about 15-20k ago. It is possible I've got a...
