    I have owned a SA XD(m) .40 4.5" for about 6 months and have put about 1200 rounds through her. I really like the gun, it has proven to be everything that I found from researching before purchase. I don't regret the purchase and would do it again!

    Pennzoil Platinum or Valvoline Synpower

    Valvoline, but both are great oils! I have been running Valvoline SynPower 5w30 (winter) and 10w30 (summer) since I purchased my vehicle new in 2001. However, I do have 20 gallons of Chevron Supreme 5/10w30 in my oil stash that I will eventually use; at $7.50 gal I couldn't pass it up.

    I ask Valvoline this question over a year ago and the response was indefinitely (if reasonably stored). They stressed formula improvements as being the reason to buy the latest offerings.
