Flexin'! I wanted one 35 years ago when I started in tool and die but got a Kennedy instead. You have a heirloom there!

Why do people use the rear brake?

Coming from racing offroad, you learn how brakes work. The front will stop you and the rear is used for turning.

Starrett is good stuff, but you pay a LOT for the name. And I have many thousands of dollars of their stuff.

best auto parts store parking lot to do a spark plug swap?

Several years ago I saw a guy working on a car at Walmart. It looked like he was doing a head gasket. There were tools and parts scattered in about four parking spaces. I went back the next afternoon and it was gone. Except for the oil stains.

Post Your Latest (Motorcycle) Oil Change!

'23 Husqvarna 701 Enduro. I changed oil at 600 and again at 1500 using Motorex 10w50 and KTM filters. It just clicked over to 3K miles and this time I used Maxima Pro Plus+ with the KTM filters. The first change had a minute amount of metal on the magnetic drain plug and a little on each of...

4 stroke titanium valves with copper beryllium seats

Not sure as there are too many variables. If you ride it easy, they can go for many, many hours between adjustments. I knew of some people who were hard on them and they were replacing valves every time you turned around. In the early 2000's, Honda recommended piston, rings and wrist pin every...

4 stroke titanium valves with copper beryllium seats

The DelWest valves are nice, but if they're Ti, you will run into the same problem. If you don't like doing maintenance, SS is the only way to go.

    1998 Yamaha PW80

Awesome job! The first bike I got was a ratted out '79 KX80. 43 years later, I still remember me and my dad working on it like it was yesterday. I'm glad to see you doing this for your kids.

Does Kibblewhite offer the SS valves for it? Is so, you can put those in it and be done.

4 stroke titanium valves with copper beryllium seats

That guy is probably right about the stock cam. The mfg's have these engines running on the ragged edge. Aftermarket cams might increase peak power some, but it will take it from another area. The key to the Ti valves is to keep the air filter clean. I like to put a fresh one on after each...

Any wisdom on KTM 790/890 Cam wear problems?

You can add the 690/701 to that list. My new 701 sucked a lot of dust this weekend. I have the airbox off now trying to come up with a solution.

Nice boxes! That's about $3K if you buy it new. I've had my Kennedy boxes for over 30 years now. No telling how much money in tools in them. But it puts food on the table and keeps the lights on!

    YouTube - Compressor Blows Up

He said it was like a hand grenade. I bet it was closer to 10 hand grenades. 26 gallons of a gas at 120 PSI is an enormous amount of energy.
