PCV Valve Mazda 3

Kind of a ridiculous spot for a PCV valve.

On a side note, this car has always made a strange howling type sound that comes from the front of the engine. I can't identify what it is. It's been doing it the last 2 years. I just ignore it now.

That's about as what Honda did for years, they put the PCV in that same location... There is a way to ghetto get it after taking off the oil filter and reaching up and right to get it.

Yeah, similar to the location on my Honda. I plan to pull off the black box as seen in the picture, on mine, since it's probably caked.

Its a D/B series problem Lol.

For cars that have a lot of PCV problems due to design like D/B series it sure is in a PITA.

The E430 doesn't have PCV, the other 3 cars have PCV on top of the engine. I didn't try to remove the PCV from the S2000 yet, it took less than 30 seconds to replace PCV on LS400 and Tracer.
