Looks like ring wear may be starting. Nothing bad, but a noticeable change from 3 years and 75K miles earlier.

Caused by fuel dilution. Hows it running? MPG drop at all?
Maybe its just time for an o2 sensor, thermostat, or....

Give it a good ol' flush using Kreen, Autorx, Gunk, Amsoil, Lubegard, or other 5-15 minute or full OCI cleaning product.

Not a bad UOA at all. The fuel could have caused a little extra wear for all you know, though it isn't highly likely. It is just an older high mileage engine. I would not be concerned one bit by this report.

I'd be very happy to have nearly 300K on a 4 cylinder engine.
Is this Saab 4 cylinder the Ecotec version?

This is the pre-Ecotech engine, the 2.3 litre cast iron block engine manufactured in Saab's now closed engine manufacturing facility which was shared with Scania.

Fuel mileage has dropped - I think - it is hard to tell with seasonal fuel blends, elimination of MBTE, more use of Ethanol as the oxidizer additive, outdoor temperature fluctuations during winter, etc. I tend to get 27MPG on my daily commute, mostly expressway driving at 75MPH or more.

The current O2 sensors were installed 50,000 miles ago. The MAF sensor is still factory original.

After doing a little more reading it appears my only "problem" is too much fuel in the oil. Maybe the engine is running slightly rich.

Change the MAF. I am now in the habit of changing my MAF every 50k miles. I clean it every 10K. This usually brings fuel economy right back up. I do not now about the Saab 2.3,but the 3.0 V6, eat MAFs like crazy. With your mileage,I would just change it.
