Car was driven the same way.

Oil from the dealer when I picked up the car (unknown what type they use)

Now Castrol Syntec 5W/30 (I went to the track did Ten 1/4 pulls only difference from previous oil)

For some reason I cant edit my post :O

But the 5quarts of make up oil on the first report is an error on my part.

With the Castrol I used a Mobile 1 Filter.


I am really glad it came out great :) Seems I will keep using this stuff for long time :p

Judging by the silicon numbers, it looks like the main factor in the wear metal differences was dirt ingestion being higher in the earlier sample.
 
^ you guys are the pros so I dont really know that. I used the same air filter for both oil changes.

The Oil from the Dealer used the Nissan Oil Filter which is the same as the chepo fram.

Nice report. Regardless what people say (20 wt, Grp III, blah blah blah) Syntec is an excellent oil. I ran it in my 350Z for the full Schedule II maintenance (7500 miles) and it still had a TBN of 3.97 and very low wear numbers. With a [censored] Nissan filter no less.
