Valvoline SynPower 5w30
API SM/SL, CF, ILSAC GF-4, ACEA Service A1/A5

Oil was used for approximately 8 months under severe driving conditions (commuter 7 miles one way), slight towing, 80/20 city/highway driving conditions. OLM did not indicate a change necessary.

I use a GM Airfilter (i haven't replaced it, nor do i believe it ever has)
I use Preolator PureONE (not the gold colored filters) filters
I drive it pretty gently.

Looks like your engine is fully broken in and is working in its golden age. With wear that low, considering the miles on the truck, it looks like you're doing extremely well for 80% city driving. TBN at 2.85 is great considering this oil starts life at 8.

Air filters should be replaced every 15K-30K depending on driving. They're cheap and while they won't affect fuel economy on today's vehicles they will return some lost horsepower to you in the top end of the vehicle's RPM range.

I think you can go a full 10K on this oil maximum. Engine is looking good :)

I've been told that once these motors get broken in, they run like champs.

too bad they get horrendous Fuel Economy...

Results are great....agree with Dominic, could easily go a nice, round 10k miles on this....

If the air filter has never been replaced, replacing it with a high-quality replacement (think Amsoil) will probably lower abrasive wear from Si.
