Oil Storage

I recently came across a case (12 individual quarts) of HD syn3 20w-50 motorcycle oil. Being that i own a sportster and will only be able to use 4 quarts of it at a time, i was wondering if perhaps anyone knew if motor oil has a shelf life or if anyone knew the best conditions to store oil in order to keep it fresh. Right now its out in my garage in 0-15 degree farenheight (sp?) weather. any information would be extremely helpful.

As long as you don't open the bottles and keep them out of direct sunlight the oil will be good for a decade or so. There's nothing in an oil's virgin state that will degrade.
