I will stick with either NAPA $3.49, SuperTech, or my drain jug..
(I use an empty five quart jug to drain my quart bottles and 5 quart jugs over several days, you get about a tablespoon or two out of each)
I think it is closer to 350-400Ml for B&S engines, which is closer to about 13 fluid ounces.
Well to be honest the easiest way to find the grade and capacity of a Briggs and Stratton engine is LOOK at the dip stick. For some to get a good look at the dip stick you only need a hand mirror. The dipstick will usually say something around 18-22oz and some times say SAE 30
I have made quite a bit of money getting lawnmowers off craigslist in the last few years
one major problem WAY OVERFILLED crank case.
They think they are doing something good by changing the oil BUT
they drain it all out, and fill it with a whole quart. this seems to be typically the first mow of the season. SOOO the mower runs like [censored]....but gets the lawn mowed that day because it is easy to start a fouled plug as long as it is HOT. The next time they go to mow the lawn they cant get the mower to start cause it is cold. They write it off as a piece of junk and buy a new one. They put the old one on craigslist for free.
I step in drain the excess oil, sharpen the blade, simple green and a scrub brush the whole works, clean the plug, and after I get one or two mows on my own lawn as a test I sell it for 75-100 bucks.
