2014 Mazda5 Sport with AT, 2.5L engine (pre-Skyactiv), 33.8K miles

Out: 0w-20 synthetic and Carquest red filter
In: Mobil 1 EP 0w-20 and Wix filter

The OCI was 3.2K miles and 5 months according to dealer which sold the car. Will stick to owners manual while under warranty but will run occasional UOA's to see if later OCI's can be extended which is very likely.

Just got a new (used) car. 2013 Civic EX coupe, manual.

In: Royal Purple 0W-20 and Purolator Pure One 14610, yes I know.
This is a smooth running engine! Well, I should know, since I also own an identical 2012 model w/automatic (soon to be sold).
Next will be Pennzoil Plat., which I have found to be the best oil for this car (just my opinion).

Oil has 95% 2-3 mile drives on it barely getting warm. Winter is here and sub-zero temps will be here eventually. Better to change it out now, plus there may be a cross-country move coming soon as well.

Since I do a lot more city driving these days I'm sticking to ~5000 mile OCIs.

Silly shop put 3000 miles on the oil change sticker, given they seem to do quality work otherwise and appear to be honest, I'll let it slide.

Hey y'all, long-time lurker, first time poster!

I have an 02 Elantra with 176K miles on the engine. I drive a lot due to my job, so I have been changing the oil almost monthly for the past year and a half as a result.

This time, I changed out MaxLife 10W-30 with a MicroGard (O'Reilly house brand) filter after 4200 miles, and lost about 3/4 quart during that time. I added 1/2 quart of Castrol HM 5W-30 because it was what I had in my trunk when I saw that it was low.

I added Valvoline Conventional 10W-30 this time with a Fram High-Mileage filter. I'm hoping to go 4-5 thousand miles before changing again. I'm not sure if I'll change to synthetic for the cold winter, but I'll most likely drop to 5W-30 to adjust for the temperatures.

I didn't take note of how many miles the oil was in service.

Mom saw the change oil reminder and asked me to do the job ASAP. Honda gives a reminder when the oil has 15% life left.
