There are also several Toyota part numbers that end in 0V140 so I'd think it's more likely to identify the radiator/fan assembly or alternator, etc., as having anything to to do with being "ready" for x model year.
I haven't done Toyota parts, but does their numbering sequence follow a pattern like with Ford?
