I am searching for a satisfactory replacement for "water pump grease" as used in 20's and 30's vehicles. There are some recommendations here and here. As suggested, Lubriplate 115 "Water Pump Grease" is not usable as the heat causes it to soften and work out of the pump allowing coolant to leak out. I am not against ordering the suggested Schaeffer grease but I would like to use the car this weekend and I happen to have two tubes of Biral NMG here. I've found some basic sales info about it along with the MSDS but I can't seem to find anything more about this grease. Can anyone help?
