That isn't known. It will depend on how much gas they provide from that injector, it might be so small to accomplish nothing at all.

DI is like any other avant garde tech in that there are some very good implementations and some that aren't as good.
DI is also sometimes blamed for problems in what are bad engine designs from the start.
DI offers the potential for more power as well as better fuel economy.
What's not to like?
I think that separating the good from the bad DI implementations can be done pretty easily by letting the experiences of many tens or hundreds of thousands of existing owners be your guide.
I don't think that we can generalize about DI any more than we can about four valves per cylinder, DOHCs, turbos or any other old tech idea that's finally found its way into the engines of the cars that most of us buy and use.
I specifically avoided buying a DI car when I selected one model year over another. I also wanted to avoid another piece of old tech now coming into common use, the CVT.
I erred on the side of caution, but it appears that I may have erred.
