This is proof that filters can be made with straight, tight, even and plenty of pleating. Let's play "who can find the seam"

This filter went 10k miles (16k km) in the van running VWB 5w20.

I only have two more of these left... kinda disappointed I didn't buy more @ $3.69 each when Walmart Canada was stocking them.

Ditto; looks nice with straight even pleating. My Hyundai runs something similar. Are those made by Mann and branded Purolator? PS...the first pic has the seam.

Not sure who makes it other than what's on the end cap. Made in South Korea.

bingo

This filter was run through this past winter. Van parked outside, no block heater with lots of cold starts.

Looks great! Running a Puro Classic cartridge in our KIA now without concern. Have not seen any evidence the apparent issues have crossed over to cartridges.

Heck the way cartridge filters are being sold right now there's a good chance Puro didn't make it in the first place.

Yeah they cheap out when they can; on the canister

That is one good looking filter.

Another quality made purolator product.

Straight pleats are esthetically pleasing, but are not required for proper filtration.

Thanks for the cut and post.

Exactly. There is no excuse.

I think its a Mann filter rebranded as Puro.
Mann filters are always top notch, no matter where they come from.
Must be a record, there are no Puro haters posts in this thread.

Lol

Hard to hate a perfect looking cellulose bargain filter with 10k miles. But I agree. Civil thread. There's is hope for BITOG after all.

It is either that they have been too busy in the other threads, or the OP is in both camps.

Either way, they will be here eventually.

Purolator cartridge filters don't fall into the Tearolator camp. As said earlier in this thread, too bad they couldn't make the spin-on filter as good.
