This can came out of my buddies 05 Suzy XL7 after about 3k miles. It was filled with bulk Valvoline and came out rusty red, which people sparked threads about but it is still a mystery why. Refilled with Chevron SN with a Purolator. The thing looked good all the way around. Don't know anything about these filter other than it's cheap. I have another one out of a Neon I will chop in a bit.
