For those who have Hyvee grocery stores that sell gas. The have a rewards program that gets you cents off a gallon.
You can use it a Caseys General Stores and SHELL too!

So I emailed Hyvee and asked if their gas was Top Tier.
The reply,
FW: Live Chat - Fuel question

Hello Kelly,

Thank you very much for reaching out to Hy-Vee with your questions. Hy-Vee receives their fuel supply from several different unbranded suppliers. All of our fuel is bought with the required fuel additives, but does not contain the extra Top Tier additive. Most of the fuel that is sold at all of the gas stations does not contain the extra Top Tier additive. We are continuing to look into the Top Tier additive.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.

Thank you and have a great weekend.

I use the 87 E 0 and 91 E 0 all the time. Just add a bottle of gumout all in one or redline si-1 about once a month give or take. I do this religiously and still get better mileage than the sticker states. I use it purely for the fact its non ethanol and is better for GDi motors.

I think Joe could've said "top tier additive" at least one more time.

Jk.

Never even heard of Hyvee Gas. Only thing I ever use is SpeedWay but will be switching to Costco gas soon.

I've been a fuel saver member since Hy-Vee first started the program. There have been a couple times that I've filled up the pickup or Durango (20 gallons) for 20 cents. It's sort of fun to walk in, pay for your 20 gallons of gas with a quarter, and get 5 cents change.
You can track your fuel savings on their website-last year I saved over $600 using the fuel saver. Today I topped off my 30 gallon gas caddy for $1.03/gallon.
I've never bought into the top tier marketing, and never had an issue with their fuel (or Casey's General Stores fuel).

That's because it's a grocery chain that isn't in your area. It's an old, well respected grocery chain based out of Iowa and in all of the bordering states. They're consistently listed as one of the best supermarket chains in the country.

Oh, Have friends out that way...I know I have heard of it. Employee owned, and one of the best chains to work for hands down...

We typically save about $15-20 per fillup using Hyvee gas. At this price, it makes it easy for me to run Gumout more often and not worry about the gas additives.

It's rare to get bad fuel almost anywhere in the US, although it is possible. The main concern should be the additive level, and if you're concerned there isn't enough there are ways to deal with that.

we save a bunch there too. Best of all the premium is E0 91 but most cars dont need it. Wish we could get E087 in MO.

Now that Shell is on the list I will try them out and save,

We do the Hy-Vee, Casey's thing or Murphy's with the extras cents off using a Wally World card at the pump. None of them are "top tier", but I don't really worry about that. I use whatever gives me the best value per mile based on price and what the average mpg I get from each fuel... E0, E10, E15, E85, mid grade, whatever.
