We're getting ready to roll for Bike Week in Daytona, so I gave my friend's Yamaha V-Star an oil change before we went as a part of our finishing touches before we hit the road. He's been driving for 2000 miles on an unknown fill, so I thought I would give him the good stuff. Here's the filter that came off.
Nothing dramatic to see here. Good thickness on can and baseplate. Media a little wavy, but nothing looking horribly deformed, and no tears or holes. Nitrile ADBV still pliable, can had nothing in it but flakes from my sawing the can open. This is, according to K&N, a full synthetic media filter.
Amsoil oil and EAO13 filter have replaced it.
