They really should. Looks like a great oil, just based on the above specs.

No, I want a formal approval like they've done with their Euro oil

Well, we've been on them for a while to make a 0w-40 to compete with BP and Mobil, looks like they are finally doing just that

O.K., for those of us (like myself) who are trying to learn to understand how to interpret the "specs"...can you give us a hint, i.e., what specs are you looking at and what's so special about those numbers that impress you???

Not until they officially meet all the same mfg specs that M1 0w-40 meets.

Low pour point, low Noack, high TBN, high HT/HS.

Of course, these only matter if your application requires it.

Why bother with hard(and expensive) to get oil while you can buy either M1 or Castrol 0W40(approved for may European engines) at Walmart all day at reasonable price ? Escpecially when Castrol 0W40 was only $21.xx 5-qt jug few days ago.

Variety is the spice of life, I guess.

No word about A40 spec ... even meets or exceeds ... I'm tempted to use it in P-car ... and do an UOA ... What you guys think good choice for DI 4.8 V8 ?
