The logical question should be. Since this machine is affordable to hospitals why does it take the outbreak of an dangerous pathogen for hospitals to invest in this technology that helps to minimize the risk to its healthcare workers to deadly hazards.

Corporate hospitals are making money hand over fist.

Second case now in USA, this time contracted in USA: http://www.foxnews.com/health/2014/10/12...tive-for-ebola/

Hopefully this one will fare better and bring the mortality rate up to 50%.

Other countries now starting to increase in numbers of infected persons: http://www.foxnews.com/health/2014/10/10...ntcmp=obnetwork

Even though the reaction time has been pitiful up to this point hopefully they can get things under control. The sad truth about things overall is that a person would be more informed about Ebola's risks weeks ago when this thread first started than the reaction of the CDC is just reaching today.

Like I mentioned information is power. If we can share and inform even just one person a relative, co-worker some of the findings and dispel false information and help them not contract this it is the purpose of this thread.

this is close to home.

I watched the presser, Doc said he had vomiting and the runs BEFORE he came back 5 days ago to the States. If I heard him right.

Just out of curiosity, what happens when a mosquito sticks his needle into an Ebola patient and then flies over and sticks his same needle into your blood stream? Should we get all the mosquitos on a clean needle exchange program?

Can Ebola be spread through mosquitos?

There is no evidence that mosquitos or other insects can transmit Ebola virus. Only mammals (for example, humans, bats, monkeys and apes) have shown the ability to spread and become infected with Ebola virus.

...but BATS ....

From the beginning we have been fed B.S. by the so called experts. We as sheep seem to blindly follow the "Experts" real or imagined without question or thought. I have been some what concerned.

Just ignore CDC info.

Yep, we all know the CDC is the final word on accuracy and information.

Total baloney, I'd rather find out for myself than listen to the latest [censored] from the govt about a 'crisis'...

They ripped that from Return of the Living Dead, but in that one they used a tactical Nuke.

Interesting that some consider that killing of innocents (who may not even have said disease) is an option.
