Hamp oil filter, Made in USA

If the bypass was at the thread end, 100% bypass would leave the filter cool.

Cutaway shown above has the bypass at the top.

I have read some where that after driving for about an hour. If the filter gets hot, it means that the filter is doing its job. But if the filter does not get hot, it means the filter is in bypass a lot.
Is this true? The reason I'm asking this is because when I was using an oem filter (Honda Civic), it used to get real hot but the Hamp does not get hot at all.



Only for GMs with in block bypass.

For filter dome bypass, the can gets hot in bypass or otherwise.
 
The can should eventually get hot regardless from being in contact with the hot block and in a hot engine bay.

honda s2000 filter are made by toyo roki and fit all honda motors pre the k series.

I use it on my prelude and feels like a well built filter. Haven't cut it apart thoe
