Glad to hear the LB is back in service! $125 sounds like a great price for what they did. I am glad it was resolved.

I'm glad you had a happy ending regarding your mower's service. By the way, what model number Lawn Boy do you have?
The two, 6 1/2 HP, 2 stroke, Lawn Boys that I own are powerful enough to cut grass that is over the wheel height without stalling. I am still using from my big stash of old Mobil 1 2T oil in an effort to prolong them.
Anyone looking for a light weight, powerful, mower should hunt around craigslist and ebay for these mowers - while you can still find them.

Bottomline:-
They were lying through their teeth. There was no scoring. They were trying to get you to give up on your old mower.
Whatever they did would NOT have fixed the "scoring".
In the end, all matters is that you are happy with your mower. Sadly, you seem to be happy with the shop too :-( I would have had a talk with the owner of the shop. I can work with an incompetent shop but a dishonest one gets the boot.
