slick 50 one grease

I kinda feel sorry no one has answered you, I will say this , if a company puts out a snake oil treatment like slick 50, I will avoid them like a plauge with their other products. Sorry I don't know the answer to your question.
 
I suspect it has both lithium and PTFE thickeners.

PTFE can be a decent thickener, but not a lubricator in this form. It's the base oils that lubricate and the thickeners simply hold the oil in their "interstitial" spaces.
 
it is a lithium based thickener and washes out with plain water. There is nothing special about this grease except they have some ptfe which is slick 50's primary product line. In the case of the grease, this in one of the "barrier" additives they tout. Ptfe is used in some greases as it is a solid like mos2 and can work. The biggest problem is moisture will rip it right off of what ever you put in on/in. Not a good idea for boat applications.
