Does anyone on here know anything about the special General Motors grease that is used to quiet the clunking noise from the drive line?
The Gm part number is 12345879 and it is touted as a hi-teflon lubricant. I am curious who makes this grease and what its properties are.

Thanks.

My 2002 GMC Sierra makes a clunk when it shifts into second gear, (auto tranny), I am taking it back to the dealer (who says it sounds normal) and this might be how they fix it, with grease?

Yes, the fix for the clunk is to lubricate the splined shaft with teflon grease. I was just curious if the grease that is available from General Motors was different from the commercially available greases that you can find in bicycle shops. I know that this stuff is incredibly expensive regardless of where you buy it.
