Well, my current Windows computer (and my iMac for that matter) came with an Intel processor. And from what I hear Intel is leading in the technology department over AMD. But one thing I like very much about AMD is that they have a motherboard with enough onboard graphics to run Aero on a Vista computer without need for a graphics card. If a person is not going to run a lot of games on a computer the AMD motherboard with onboard graphics would probably be good enough for Vista graphics and the computer would probably be a lot cheaper. And maybe easier to cool and everything else (and AMD processors may tend to run cooler than Intel processors in any event).
It would still be a good idea to run the computer (if using Vista) with at least 2 gb of RAM.
