Hello to everyone,
a guy from Holland, who I came across, had told me to post my question on this forum. I had never heard about Bob is the oil guy...but it is said that you people are the specialists regarding oil. I do hope you can give me a hand here. First and for all note that I am not really used to "forum" discussions. Think of me like a virgin but nevertheless I will do my best ....okay here we go.
XENUM VX500 is an advanced oil additive produced by Xenum which is a company not so far away over here in Belgium. It is to be added to regular full-synthetic oil and it utilizes the synergy of two components being micro-ceramic particles and polarized synthetic ester oil. It is said it outperforms all existing technology. The product has been tested by T.U.V Germany and it seems like to do what the manufacturer says it will do. If I am well informed it can be purchased as oil as well so probably mixed upfront. Very expensive oil and used in the race-industry.
I drive a Seat Leon 1,6 TDI and the oil in my car is ELF SOLARIS LLX 5W30 full-synthetic. which is as far as I am concerned standard oil of today which is produced by many manufacturers.
The questions I have are the following :
* will this product effectively increase the quality of my standard oil with all the advantages it promises ?,
* will it harm the engine in the long-term as it should be the opposite ?,
* how about car engine warranty if something might go wrong or would it be foolish to claim that something might go wrong with these kind of additives ?
I have gotten lot's of opinions in my environment but they are founded on what ? So that's why I am here. I want some descent information based on facts and figures and expertise.
Anxiously awaiting your input.
Thank you !
