What’s the current top oil filters?

In the past the Fram ultra always seemed to be a top contender. I was reading an article where there was some skepticism regarding a “new” Fram ultra and how not so great it is compared to the old one. Is this true? Are they not so great anymore? What is the top 3 go to filters these days?

The newest Fram Endurance is an excellent filter based on it's specs & mileage rating. I'm a Purolator One & Fram Tough Guard fan & they have a 15k mile endurance. There are other filters that I'm sure some will mention. These are just the obvious ones.

Fram ultra, titanium, and endurance

The skepticism is mostly unfounded since though the wavy pleats aren't eye candy it doesn't really matter. There's yet to be an instance where the pleats failed. But the filtration and holding capacity has improved and that actually matters.
