Hey guys...
Just did the oil change on my brothers 2002 Grand Prix... Car is a POS with things always going wrong... Anyway... I did the oil change, snugged everything up and checked some of the fluids and all that.
Started the car, and there is some terrible metallic rattle that appears to be coming from the area with all the pulleys with the serpentine belt. At least I think that is the source. It is very loud and sounds like marbles bouncing around a tin can or something.
I can't pinpoint the location of the noise, which is why I am asking for some general help. I know its hard online without video/sound sample, but maybe somebody can help otherwise.
Probably taking it to the shop next week... It sounds bad. The noise increases when the engine is rev'd. Can't find anything loose under the hood that would rattle. It sounds more then a rattle though. I don't believe it has to do with the engine itself.
Oil change went good though
Thanks!
