Very amusing. My statement was that most threads on this site now read "use brand X that meets the basic spec and change at Y intervals and your engine will long outlast the rest of the car". My argument is that the manufacturers should put their resources into improving the "rest of the car" to meet the high standards of the engines that are produced in this day and age.

I'm not sure if my intent just went over your head, or if you were trying to be facetious. If it was the latter, I apoligize but I saw no emoticon indicating an attempt at humor so it is what it is.
