Waffle towels?

I like my old meguiars waffle towels for drying but they are really starting to age. Using D156 spray wax for a wax-as-you-dry has also killed their absorbancy. Is there a better value in waffle towels out there than the meguiars these days?

I like the Meguiar's waffle towels. Every now and then they're like $2 as an Amazon add-on item and I get a few.

The Griot's PFM Terry Weave Drying Towel is King Kong though. I've never met a car I couldn't dry completely without even wringing out. Just lay it on the hood and pull it across.
