I've been using a long-distance phone card for years as it's much cheaper than paying ATT for 1+ LD service.

Evidently Verizon is doing away with them. I'm no longer able to recharge it. While at Sam's yesterday, I looked for one from anyone else, but no joy.

Other LD card options?

Good Question. Sprint seems to have pulled out also, although they do honor my existing card. Verizon was announcing that they were not going to sell or recharge cards after 4-17-12 when you dialed-in to call someone.

With everybody using cell phones,I can see why landline cards would go away.

That was my first thought.
I can honestly say i do not know a single person that still has a landline. not even my parents, heck, not even my grandparents..

not even for DSL, since cable is soo much better. Heck, even verizons 4g is faster then DSL

Thanks. I was surprised to not see any ATT cards while at Sams. However, I hadn't yet taken the time to check their site. And frankly, the 'card' itself is superfluous.
