valve cover oil breather hose spewing onto mechanical gearbox

Good morning,

ever since i rerouted the valve cover oil breather hose from the air intake to outside the air intake to the engine compartment, i noticed it is spewing oil onto the manual gearbox, is this a problem?

would it be better to get an oil catch can to prevent oil spewing onto manual gearbox and other areas of engine compartment?

It would be better to put the breather arrangement back to its original configuration as engineered. Oil spewing out in the engine compartment is a recipe for a fire. If you had oil blowing out, you need to address why that's happening such as a PCV system not working as it should.

Just put it into a bottle of some sort and ziptie it somewhere.
