I compared to the NAPA and it looked every bit as good. That's why I tried it. Yes, I tend to stay away from things made in China. But this filter looked very well made. The pleats and construction were every bit as well made as the more expensive NAPA GOLD. I guess the we'll find out in my next UOA.
Have you seen Ultra 8 Oil Filter? Its NIPPON and its built like a TANK.... It reminds me of the old Honda Filtech A01s
Also they are like 6$, Now the Napa Silva is 2.99$ and the Napa GOLD is 5.99$
so if you believe in the saying ** YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR ** then Ultra Brand 8 is good stuff.
I cant wait to cut the Ultra Brand 8 Filter open to see what it looks like, to see if its like the A01s.. It sure reminds me of it, However its still fatter filter compared to the A01 and A02s ,
Soon as Im done with the OCI, I will cut open this Ultra Brand 8 / NIPPON Oil fitler and show the pics
On the box it says Ultra -8 Performance
For Honda
15400-PR3-004
15400-POH-305
On the filter it says the same thing but has text in English and Chinese or Japanese
HOWEVER on the TOP it says TOV ISO9001
when I google that it says something about what I pasted below, also all there air filters have good reviews also.
Because of its independent and impartial status, SwRI frequently offers opportunities to participate in cooperative research and development programs. Institute technical divisions supporting filtration technology have achieved certification to ISO 9001 or 9002, ensuring compliance with stringent quality control procedures in design, development, and testing.
Anyone ever see that above?
or this link about the test below?
